Raunak was Seher’s co-actor. He was also shooting with her at Mukesh Mills that day.
He was done with his shot and was making his way towards his vanity van, when he stood near the old entrance of the mill and lit a cigarette. The light from the flame of the lighter illuminated the otherwise dark compound. As he was taking a puff, he noticed a similar shadow leaning against the dilapidated gate. A burning cigar providing just enough light to make out that it was a tall, lean man but his face remained in the shadows. Raunak was confused at first but later devised that it might be one of the crew members. After about 5 minutes, Raunak grew suspicious. The man had been standing still since he arrived. Moments later, the man started walking towards the forbidden part of the ground.
It felt as if Raunak’s feet had grown a mind of their own. He started following the man around the corridors. Soon he found himself in the old warehouse of the mill. Suddenly the air grew cold and Raunak’s body started shivering. He was surrounded by various old machines, covered in dust. The room erupted with a loud noise, the sound of machines running as if the decade long worn-out machines had come back to life. Raunak’s heart skipped a beat as he heard the thudding of motors and machines and the clatter of tools filled up the dark, deserted room. As he looked clearly, the fuel tank near his feet toppled down and a rich, red liquid poured out of it. BLOOD. Seeing this, Raunak hurried out of the room with batted breath. He looked around and realized that the shadow he was following was nowhere in near sight, and now he was stuck in a labyrinth of rooms and corridors.
He ran with his utmost strength trying to navigate himself back to the sets. That was when he heard a loud scream. “That sounds like Seher.”, he exclaimed. He started following that scream and he tumbled upon a room. He entered inside with the hope of finding Seher but the room was empty except for a dark, black shadow forming at the corner of the room. He was drawn towards that corner where he spotted a ring. A ring so beautiful that no one had the capacity to ignore its charm. An unknown power pushed Raunak and he picked up the ring and wore it. A shiver ran down his spine. An eerie silence surrounded him as the room filled up with dense white fog. The sound of a rope being tied echoed through the room. Raunak looked up and his body froze. He saw a pair of feet dangling right above his. The body of a young man was hanging by a rope tied to the hook on the roof but the face of the boy was scarred and half-burnt and its big, bold eyes staring right into Raunak’s soul and before he could comprehend anything, the rope tore and that boy’s hands landed right around Raunak’s neck. Raunak gasped for air as the room lit up with bright red flames of fire. Raunak struggled to free himself but the boy’s grip was getting stronger. Ultimately, Raunak’s body turned limp and all the colors from his face vanished.
Next morning, the news channel showed Raunak’s dead body. Seher looked closely. The same ring on his finger and that same horrific room. It seemed that Raunak had succumbed to the same daunting fate that Seher had managed to escape.
